Introduction

Welcome to whereisthisplace.online. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using our AI photo location finder, EXIF tools, share pages, paid unlocks, and related services.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What the Service Does

whereisthisplace.online helps identify places shown in photos. The Service may check metadata, read visible scene clues, return candidate locations, show confidence levels, and provide maps or Street View-style verification when available.

The Service identifies places, not people. It is not designed to locate, track, identify, or target private individuals.

Eligibility and Accounts

You may use free tools without creating an account unless a feature says otherwise. Some features, such as billing history, saved reports, subscriptions, or higher limits, may require sign-in.

You are responsible for keeping your account access secure and for activity under your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Locate, track, stalk, harass, intimidate, or dox a private person.
• Identify where someone lives, works, studies, worships, or spends private time.
• Analyze images you do not have a lawful right to upload or process.
• Upload illegal, abusive, exploitative, or non-consensual content.
• Bypass rate limits, abuse free quotas, scrape the Service, or interfere with security controls.
• Use the Service for surveillance, law-enforcement, military, immigration, or high-stakes decisions without a separate written agreement.
• Misrepresent AI outputs as verified fact when the result is uncertain or labeled low evidence.

We may block uploads, restrict access, remove share pages, or terminate accounts when use appears unsafe, abusive, unlawful, or inconsistent with these Terms.

Photo Uploads and Results

You keep ownership of photos and content you upload. You grant us the limited permission needed to process the upload, return results, prevent abuse, provide support, and operate the Service.

Photos are auto-deleted within 24 hours by default unless you choose to save, unlock, or share a result. Shared result pages may remain public until removed or expired according to the product rules shown at the time.

AI results are probabilistic. A result may be wrong, incomplete, outdated, or only useful as a lead. Always verify important locations independently before acting on them.

EXIF and Browser-Side Tools

Some tools, such as the EXIF viewer and EXIF remover, are designed to process metadata in your browser. When a page says a step runs locally, that step is intended to run on your device before server-side analysis begins.

You are responsible for checking the output before publishing or relying on a cleaned file.

Paid Unlocks, Subscriptions, and Refunds

Free results may include candidate places, confidence, reasoning, and map links. Paid unlocks may add exact pins, Street View proof, saved reports, higher limits, or other features described on the pricing page.

Prices, limits, and included features are shown at checkout or on the pricing page. Taxes may apply. Payment processing is handled by third-party providers such as Stripe; we do not receive your full card number.

Unless a checkout page says otherwise, one-time unlocks are final once delivered. Subscription cancellations apply to future renewals. If something fails or looks wrong, contact support@whereisthisplace.online and we will review the case.

Privacy

Intellectual Property

The Service, site design, workflows, copy, software, and brand assets belong to whereisthisplace.online or its licensors. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the Service except where permitted by law or by written agreement.

You may use your own uploaded photos and the results generated for your own lawful personal or business purposes, subject to these Terms.

Third-Party Services

Results may link to Google Maps, Street View, reverse image search engines, payment processors, email providers, analytics tools, or other third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party sites, results, availability, or decisions.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that every photo can be located, that a result is correct, or that a specific feature will always be available.

The Service is not professional advice, emergency support, legal advice, investigative authority, or a substitute for human verification.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, whereisthisplace.online will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to make them visible on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
